I have been thinking about the word a lot lately, mulling over it, chewing on it, sitting at its edges. What is it about this word that stirs something deep within my soul? Perhaps it is a love of the natural world and it’s innate (or shall I say it’s magical) ability to make us more fully human. So there is a wholeness aspect to it. But perhaps there is also a longing – a yearning to go back to a simpler, less artificial, less distracted, more connected, more meaningful way of life. Where actions flow out of an understanding of what is actually important, and where playfulness and curiosity and exploration are not a distraction from the real thing, but the way through. I believe we have lost our way terribly and I think nature holds the key back to the place we need to be. If this resonates with you at all, I invite you to read on.

I presented a keynote on the subject of renaturing at the Neufeld Institute Conference in May 2022. In advance of this, I offered an online presentation, with a focus on education, which is available here.

I also developed an audio journey on the theme of renaturing ourselves, which I offered for the first time in the fall of 2022. I plan on offering this again in the future. If you’d like to join this journey, please reach out at info@artisol.org
